Clinique Superfit (No 5) and Estee Lauder Double Wear 2.0

If you read my post frequent enough, you will know that I hardly use liquid foundation. I had this phobia of liquid foundation because I am afraid that it will clog my pores and makes my oily face even more oily.

So, I seldom buy liquid foundation except Revlon Color Stay which I did a review earlier. I only used it when I am attending my friend's wedding or any event.

I got samples of Clinique Superfit (Color No 5) and Estee Lauder Double Wear 2.0 sometime ago and will share with you my thoughts.

Both foundation are for oily skin.

Swatches of both foundation are shown below

I personally like the clinique foundation better for 3 reasons:
1. It controls oil better (I do not have to blot my face for 4 to 5 hrs)
2.The colour blends into my skin and looks as though I am not using anything
3. The color also did not oxidized

Both foundation blends easily but Estee Lauder double wear appears thicker and heavy on the face. The Clinique Superfit blends super well into my skin and looks very natural.

I also did an "oil content test". I put the foundation on a blotting paper and left them for about 7 hours. Both foundations passed the test with flying colors. You can't really see the oil patches.

So, if you have very oily skin like me, I would recommend you to try Clinique Superfit. If I remember correctly it is RM109 for 30ml.

Would you like to share with me your skin type (oily, dry, combination, sensitive etc) and your HG or star liquid foundation?

Thanks

An afternoon at Life Code and ST Whitening House

Today I am going to share with you about Life Code and ST Whitening House. If you still remember Miu of Plusizekitten organized an event at Life Code. So, I was one of the lucky 11 bloggers selected to the event.

First, we were given the opportunity to try out the Super Tourmaline (ST) Whitening House. All of us were sweating inside the room but when we came out we felt very fresh and our skin is not sticky at all.

According to Life Code product trainer, Chris Loke, the ST Whitening House have the following benefits: Whitening, detoxifying, Anti-aging and Slimming

This is the Tourmaline stone that can release far infra red and negative ions which is very good for the body. One session of the treatment is RM150.

However, for readers of this blog, if you want to try for the first time, you can make appointment and try the first session Free of Charge. Just mention to them that you read about this in my blog.

Life Code can be contacted at 03-22890888.

The lip gloss can refines fine lines on the lips and delivers optimal anti-aging effects.

At the end of the session, we were treated with delicious local cuisine from Rasa Sayang Restaurant.

This is a picture of the place, just in case you want to go there to test out the ST Whitening House.

We were given some products (trial size) worth RM250.

I would like to thank Miu for organizing this event. Thanks to Chris Loke of Life Code for her patience in explaining the products and services at Life Code. If you would like to know more about Life Code, pls click here.

Skin Food Haul and Product Review (Skin Food Eggplant Eyeliner and Skin Food Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover)

Hi Friends

These are my latest Skin Food Haul. I got them online from Whimsical Needs. I get cheaper price compared to Skin Food outlet. I came across Whimsical Needs through a blog.

So, I will review 2 products today.

The first product : Eggplant Eyeline Auto Pencil Water Proof in No. 1 (Black)

I applied on my eye as shown below. It is quite pigmented. I like it because it stays 12 hrs (I wore it to work and the liner is still in tact when I came back at 8pm. I like the design of the product because it needs no sharpening. This is a plus point.

Price: RM30.90 (It is sold at abt RM33 at Skin Food outlet)
Rating for Product Packaging: 4.5/5
Rating for Product Quality: 4/5
Will I repurchase: Yes

The 2nd product : Skin Food Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover (for eyes and lips)

The main ingredient is Milk.
You will see 2 layers before shaking. You have to shake it before use.

Instruction to use:

Rating for Product Packaging: 4/5
Rating for Product Effectiveness: 4.5/5
Price: RM39 for 160 ml (This one I purchase from Skin Food outlet few months ago)
Will I repurchase: Yes

This is to show you how clean it is after using the Skin Food Milk Shake Point Makeup Remover.

This is the cotton pad that was used to clean my eye make up. This product is very good as it can remove all types of eye makeup including mascara (I did not apply mascara today but rest assured it can do the job well)

Thanks for reading. Have u tried these products before? You must try it one day.

Trip to Guilin, China (part 2)

Hi my lovely readers,

As promised, this is part 2 of my Guilin Trip photos. Enjoy. Pls click here for Part 1 photos.

Walking up the mountain to visit one of the tribes who lived up the hills.

Stopping halfway to take photo

the beautiful view on the way up

The houses of the hill people

Their women keep their hair long as a symbol of beauty. She is demonstarting how to tie her hair. Notice that there are 2 bundles of her hair, both are real. One bundle was her hair that was cut when she was 16 yrs old, another one is the hair that drops daily when she combs her hair, she will picked them up and compile it into another bundle. She would tie her hair together with these 2 bundles of real hair to form a big bun. How interesting...

These ties are hand sewn. Price - RM150 to RM200 per piece. No repeat designs.

A girl sewing the tie, it takes one month to complete a tie.

A "work in progress" tie.

I like this pic

Some scenic view - photos taken from a moving train.

Some Koi fish in the pond inside a restautrant.
I love to see Koi fish swimming. It makes me calm and happy!

Thanks for viewing.
