Product Review: 1) Empro HD Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil 2) Empro Triangular Brow Auto Pencil 3) Empro Stainless Steel Scissors

Dear Readers

Today, I will be reviewing 3 items that I received from Empro. These products are made in Korea.

First, I used the Doll Lash scissors to trim and shape the model's eyebrow. I also used a tweezer to pluck out the stray hairs. Next, I use the eyebrow pencils to fill the gap.

Before the trimming

After trimming and using both the brow pencil to fill the gap

Empro Triangular Brow Auto Pencil RM38.80

A close up look at the Empro Triangular brow pencil - this color is e3 Golden Brown
Empro Triangular Brow Auto Pencil
This is Empro's best seller!

Product Description: Promote eyebrow hair growth with vitamin-enriched ingredients such as hydrogenated soybean oil. (Wow! This is the first time I heard of using soybean oil for eyebrow pencil.....)

What I like about this product:
1. The triangular shape helps to create a very nice arched eye brow. The color is not too intense but blends well with the original brow. I notice that I can draw faster using this pencil.

2. It is an auto pencil . Again no sharpening needed. Yay!

3. There is a brush at the other end and it is very useful for combing your brow and blending in the color to create a very natural brow. No harsh and fake looking brow.

Product Rating: 4/5
Price : RM 38.80

Empro HD Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil - RM68.80

A close up look at the lead

Empro HD Slim Cut Dual Lead Brow Auto Pencil
Product Description:  It has a dual lead 2 colors which delivers precise application. The firm and smooth texture allows the 3D lining effects for an authentic eyebrow. Contains herbal essences that stimulates hair growth.(also contains hydrogenated soybean oil)

What I like about this product:
1. It can really blend well with your eyebrow if you use it correctly. I use the short stroke technique to draw. The result, you can see in the above pics.

2. I always like auto pencil - need no sharpening! Makes your life easier. Really..trust me

Cons: It may be a bit pricy but it will last you for a few months provided you do not break it.

Product Rating: 4/5
Price: RM68.80

Empro Doll Lash Stainless Steel Scissors - RM12.80 (value for money!)

Empro Doll Lash Scissors
I really like this scissors. It is very sharp and gives you a precise cut. No complaints about this. Seriously, you must give this product a try. I think it is value for money. Only RM 12.80!
Product Rating : 5/5

Do share with me if you have tried any of the above products.

Product Review: Kiehl's Nymphaea Alba UV Shield SPF 35

I have been using this sunblock for several months and it's about time that I write a review. I bought this product last December 09 during Kiehl's Christmas party at Pavillion, I think.

Note: I have finished using my Lancome UV Expert Neuroshield sunblock some time ago.

Ingredients

When applied to the face, it does leave a slight white cast but it does not bother me so much.
Active Ingredient = Titanium Dioxide (that means it is a true blue sunblock, not a sunscreen)

What I like about this product:
- The texture is very light as shown in the picture above. It's very runny.
- It does control oil to a certain extent. My face becomes oily after 3 hrs or so.

What I dislike about this product:
-It does not contain makeup base, so I have to apply a makeup base after applying this sun block.
-The price isn't very pocket friendly. I must admit that Lancome UV Expert Neuroshield sunblock is even more expensive.

Rating for Product Texture:4/5
Rating for Product Packaging: 4/5
Price: RM100 for 30 ml
Will I repurchase: not sure, because I found another product that is cheaper and have better oil controlling properties (will review in another post)

What brand of sunblock are you using now?
Do you think that only expensive sunblock works?
Thanks for sharing.

However, to my dissapointment, this year there will be no "walk" for me. I have been waiting for this event since August. Nevermind, there will always be next year and I hope Estee Lauder Company will organize it next year.

DKNY Be Delicious EDT - Oct 2010

Recently, I was invited to the launch of DKNY Be Delicious EDT. The event was held at House+Co at Bangsar Shopping Centre.

This October the DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Toilette Spray is available in Malaysia. The new fragrance is lighter, brighter and more refreshing.

Image courtesy of Aramis & Designer Fragrances

Product Description (obtained from DKNY):
The juicy American apple note, a natural extract, is surrounded by the crisp green wetness of grapefruit and magnolia. At the heart lies tuberose, white muget, rose and shining violet; finished with smooth sandalwood, blond woods and white amber. This new Be Delicious is packaged in a clear bottle with clear juice and a green dip tube. The logo on the carton is also white to symbolize its lighter approach.

DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Toilette Spray 100ml  RM245

DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Toilette Spray 50ml  RM185

What makes Be Delicious so irresistibly appealing is that it speaks to the idea of living life to the fullest. The apple inspires and embraces a spontaneous spirit.

I have also been given the opportunity to try a bottle of the DKNY Be Delicious EDT.

My thoughts on the new DKNY Be Delicious EDT:
I like the bottle because it is shaped like an apple.
I love the fresh crisp scent of the fragrance.
I only use 3 sprays and it lasted me the whole day. note: This is contrary to my belief that EDT does not stay long. So, I was totally surprised by its lasting power.

Overall, I am pleased with this new fragrance.

Thanks to Aramis & Designer Fragrances for introducing the new DKNY Be Delicious EDT to me.

Has anyone tried this fragrance before? Do share your thoughts.

MAC EOTD : 3 Looks using Devoted Poppy

First of all I would like to thank the lovely Ju Li from Mommy of 2 for helping me to get this palette from the Estee Lauder warehouse sale a few months ago. She woke up very early and went to the sale with her lovely sister. I was too lazy to go. Anyway, this palette only cost RM30. What a steal! Maybe I should consider going next year.

Look at the pretty casing. I think I like the casing more than the content.ha..ha..

Lets look at 3 looks that can be created using this palette.

Look 1: Green and Blue

Look 2: Brown and Blue

Look 3: Beige, brown & black

So, which one do you like best? Leave a comment ya. Thanks for visiting!
