Nail Art DIY Tutorial

Hi again,

I just came back from SHAPE magazine Soulful Feet Workshop, will share the event in another post. For today, we will continue with another nail art tutorial.

I called it Dainty French Tip Flower! 

Items used:

Top Coat

Base Coat

Colour Sense Holographic nail polish in #46016 (the lighter shade)

Elianto Violet Red # 13

White Nail Art pen

Step 1: Base Coat

Step 2: Lighter pink ( I'm using Colour Sense Holographic nail polish in #46016) - 2 layers

Important Note: Always let a layer dry before painting another layer.

Step 3: paint the tip with a darker shade ( I'm using Elianto Violet Red # 13)

Step 4: Draw the flower with the White Nail Art pen

Today's nail art design is a simple floral design again. I just love those little flowers.

Items used (see below pictures - items are in sequence as shown in the pics):

In 2 Nails Keratin Base Coat

Skin Food Nail Vita Top Coat

Silky Girl Ever Glossy Nail Color in #04 Rose Breath - lighter pink

Cosway's Color Sense Holographic Nail Polish #46016 - darker pink

Nail Art Pen (black & white)

After painting the top coat, paint the lighter pink color (2x) , ensure each coat is dry before painting the next coat.

 

 Next, paint the darker pink shade diagonally (see picture below)

 

When the colors are dry, paint the black flowers followed by the white dots along the diagonal line.

Nail Art Design for Toe Nails

This is another nail art creation for those who loved to paint their toe nails red.

You start with base coat - let it dry
Next paint the red color (2x) wait for each layer to dry before the second coat
Next, paint the flower using nail art pen with sharp tip.
Let dry and paint the top coat.
Voila - complete...
Next time I will capture the steps in photo so that you can see the steps clearly.

Pasta Recipe - Chicken Aglio Olio (Chinese style)

Last week I cooked pasta. It's very easy.


This is the recipe:

Ingredients:

3/4lb angel hair pasta (cooked)

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (cut into cubes) (marinate with light soya sauce and chopped fresh basil leaves)

1 green pepper (cut finely)


1 carrot (cut finely)

10 dried mushroom (soak and cut finely)

2 tablespoons fresh garlic (chopped)

2 tablespoons light soya sauce

salt & black pepper (to taste)

Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large wok, medium-high
heat. Add chicken pieces and fry until brown on the outside. Stir in basil,
garlic, light soya sauce, salt and pepper. Mix in carrot, green pepper and mushroom. Cook until ingredients semi soft and the chicken is fully cooked.

Step 2: Toss with noodles and stir

(Makes 5 Servings)

 Ready to serve....

Walk for WORLD PINK

Hi girls

Today I am going to share with you about a long overdue story which happened on 3 Oct 09. I participated in the Walk for WORLD PINK event. It's a 3.8km walk in KL starting from KL tower and ends at the same place.

The event was organized by Estee Lauder in conjunction with breast cancer awareness. By the way October is breast cancer awareness month. Here are some pictures - note the pink ribbon painted on my face.

And don't forget to perform a regular breast self examination  (BSE) every month a week after your period.

On 22 Aug 09, I went to STAGE at Tropicana City Mall for a Makeover. The makeup artist who attended to me was Ms Cenny. She is a very friendly girl. She did a good job and gave me some makeup tips. Overall, I am very happy with the look that she did for me. Attached are the before and after photo of myself.

Cenny introduced me to the DramaLash mascara and some makeup brushes which I also purchased on the same day. Another makeup artist Ms Kate was also very keen to share her makeup tips. She is also very good at photography. She is able to show me how to pose in front of the camera. I am very satisfied with both makeup artists at this branch. They are very friendly and patient in explaining every product that I enquired.
