Estee Lauder Cyberwhite EX Extra Intensive Purifying Treatment Mask

Today I am going to introduce a new product from Estee Lauder CyberWhite EX range  which I received.

This Extra Intensive Puryfying Treatment Mask is a self foaming mask. It is a product that is for those who are concern about the appearance of small surface spots.

This is a mask that is very easy to use. You only need to wait for one minute before washing it off. (So, for those who are lazy or busy, there is no excuse anymore.)

I have tried this product for 2 times and I really love the texture of the product. This mask can also boost the moisture level of our skin besides making it brighter. My skin looks brighter after every use.

As soon as you apply on your skin, the product will turn into foam. Leave on for one minute and you can wash it off.

This is how the product looks on my face

What the product promises:

This highly targeted, fast-acting treatment helps to eliminate the appearance of Small Surface Spots and reveal skin’s true clarity.
Delivers immediate clarity and radiance, and features a unique complex of powerful ingredients to target Small Surface Spots. It helps clarify pores, dissolve visible melanin build-up and reveal smooth, radiant skin.

Active Ingredients:

Triple Clarifying Complex (comprised of concentrated N Acetyl Glucosamine, Larch Tree Extract, and Mannose Phosphate) helps boost skin’s clarity by helping to increase skin’s own natural turnover and shed away melanin-darkened skin cells.  Pores containing clusters of darkened cells are immediately purified, clarified, and look less visible in appearance.

A potent blend of anti-irritants, including Caffeine and Sucrose, calms skin to help prevent irritation, which can lead to melanin production or spot formation.

Sodium Hyaluronate infuses skin with moisture, ensuring that skin remains comfortably hydrated to help maintain radiant skin over time.

How to use:
Spread a generous layer over clean face – without rubbing in.  Avoid eye area.  Wait one minute for it to foam up, then tissue off.  Rinse thoroughly. Follow with CyberWhite EX Extra Brightening Moisture Lotion. Use twice a week.

My Rating after using it for 2 times:

Rating for Scent:4/5
Rating for Product Texture:4.5/5
Rating for Product Packaging: 4.5/5
Rating for Product Effectiveness: 4/5 (My skin looks brighter after each application)
Price: RM230 for 100ml

Have you tried this product before? Thanks for sharing.

Origins A Perfect World Purifying Lotion with White Tea

Today I will be talking about the facial toner that I am currently using i.e. the Origins A Perfect World Purifying Lotion with White Tea.

Last year, I attended a talk by a dermatologist. According to her, toner cannot help to shrink pore size as claimed by cosmetic brands. She said that when a product claims to shrink pore size, what the product actually does is that it firms up our skin. As a result of firmer skin, the surface is smaller and therefore the pore size becomes smaller. Sounds sensible , right?

Coming back to my toner. This toner does not claim to shrink pore size but it is supposed to reduce the sebum production on my face. Well, I don't really see any difference after using it for more than 6 months now. White tea is a powerful antioxidant that helps to prevent ageing. I don't have any complaints about this toner except for its price tag that is RM98 for 150ml.

What the product promises: anti-ageing and reduce oiliness on the face

Ingredients: white tea

Rating for Scent: 3.5.5
Rating for Product Packaging: 3/5
Rating for Product Effectiveness: 3/5
Price: RM98 for 150 ml
Will I repurchase: maybe not

What brand of toner are you using now and do you like it? Why?

Thanks for sharing.

I must admit that this look is quite similar with my last post. The only difference is I use Kohl pencil for this look.

I start with kohl pencil followed by the grey and black shadow, thereafter I use blue and finish with the turquoise and beige color as the highlighter.

If you want to know the technique to apply kohl pencil, pls click here.

Have a lovely day!

Konad Stamping

Hi everyone,

Today I will show you the result of my Konad stamping. Sorry, I do not have the photo of the plate here as I forgot to snap the photo at the shop. I did not purchase the Konad stamp plate as I was in a hurry for another appointment. There are so many plates to choose from.
You can click here to see the various plates.

Some of the designs that the girls made using Konad stamps.

The outlet that sells the Konad plate is located at Isetan, the Gardens. It is right at the end after the shoes.
The girl at the outlet requested me to paint her nail and draw flower for her.
(Note: She asked me where I did my nail art. When I told her it is DIY, she wanted it too. So, I did a demo with their nail art pen.)

That's all for today. Thanks for reading.

Kate Make Up Base

Hi everyone,

Today I will introduce Kate Make Up Base to you. I bought this product last year and have been using it for a while but stopped using it recently because my Lancome UV Expert Neuroshield  contains makeup base. Kate Makeup Base contains SPF 29 PA ++. It is made in Japan by Kanebo.

When I use this product, I notice that blackheads and whiteheads on my face is reduced significantly. This is noticed by my facial therapist. So, I would recommend it to those who are concern with blackhead/whitehead problems. This product is available at  Watson pharmacy and SASA outlets.

After application

Ingredients: unavailable

Texture: smooth
Rating : 3.5/5
Do I recommend this product: Yes
Price:RM38 for 25g

Missha M Perfect Cover BB Cream and Lilan Vital Magical Makeover BB Cream

Dear Readers,

I hope eveyone enjoyed your weekend.

Today, I am going to talk about BB Cream which stands for blemish balm cream. I am very new to this. I only tried it last year when I attended the Tsuya-tsuya workshop in 2009. Most BB creams that I came across are produced in Korea.

Recently, my Korean friend gave me a brand new Missha M Perfect Cover BB cream. She is such a sweet girl. At the same time, my mom also bought the Lilan Vital Magical Makeover BB Cream from Cosway. Both are SPF 42. I got color no 21 for Missha BB cream.

I have conducted a mini experiment. I put the creams on blotting paper and check them after several hours and on the next day. The result is shown below.

Missha BB Cream Ingredients:

Lilan Vital BB Cream Ingredients:

At 11.35am, (just after 5 mins of application) , you can see that the oil stains start showing

At 6.45pm, the oil stains spread further

On the next day, the oil stains spread even further.

Conclusion of my mini experiment:
Both Missha and Lilan Vital BB Cream are equally as oily as shown in the experiment above.

What is the outcome when I apply on my oily face?
As some of you may know, I have very oily skin. I have applied both BB cream on my face on different occasions and regret to inform you that my face turned super oily after 2 hours even after I set it with loose powder. (I think you can fry eggs on my face....that oily, I am serious)

Therefore, for those with oily skin, you may want to try Revlon Liquid foundation instead. Click here to see my review.

I have searched the net and read about Lioele Triple Solution BB Cream with SPF 30 (USD 28). According to the reviewer, it is very suitable for oily and acne prone skin. She claimed that her skin conditioned improved a lot after using this product. Has anyone with oily skin tried this? Pls share.

After conducting this mini experiment and testing both BB creams on my face, I really do not feel like trying on BB cream anymore. If you have oily skin and know of any BB creams  that will not make oily skin more oily, please share with me and other readers too.

Thanks everyone!

Single Eyelid Makeup (Bluish)

Hi everyone,

How have you been? Time flies! It's already Friday.

The look for today is a bluish look.

I used the items below:

1. Lilan Vital Eye shadow palette (from Cosway) - grey & black
2. In 2 it eye shadow (No 07 Chill) - turquoise & blue
3. Elianto (light skin color as highlighter)
4. Clinique Mascara
5. In 2 It liquid eye liner

Today, I will show you the final look.

For Single eyelid, I prefer to use the darker shade on the outer corner of the eye. This is a day look, so it is more subtle. For night, you can add more grey/black.

Thanks for reading.
Happy weekend!

Revlon Colorstay Makeup with Softflex SPF6 (Combination/Oily Skin)

Some of you may know that I have extremely oily skin. My whole face will become oily after 2 hours of cleansing. Therefore, finding the suitable liquid foundation is a real challenge. I have not been buying liquid foundation for ages (probably 15 years or more). What I have in my collection now are all samples. I have tested Clinique Superfit foundation and Estee Lauder Double Wear which I will write the review in due time.

Meanwhile, let me share with you this drugstore brand liquid foundation i.e. Revlon Colorstay Makeup wth Softflex SPF6 (Combination/Oily Skin) that I finally decided to purchase after reading about it in the internet (did some google search and read some testimonies, both good and bad). I also asked a few fellow bloggers who are kind enough to share their opinions about this product.

My Report (after using this foundation for 3 consecutive days):

I am glad to report to you that this foundation is the right purchase. Although it did not give me oil free face for the whole day, at least it can control oil to a certain extent.
It does not clog pores, no pimples for me.
For those with combination skin, I think it will suit you very well.

My color is No 200 Nude. When applied on my face, it matches very well with my skin tone. The foundation also does not cake after 8 hours of application.

What the product promises:
All day comfort
Oil free shine control
natural, flawless look
transfer-resistant

Ingredients:

I also did a mini testing here. I put some foundation on a blotting paper and leave them for 6 hours to check whether there is any oil residue. I have done a similar test on BB cream and will report to in my later post.

Result:
It is almost oil free. You can only see slight oil trace on the paper. This is really good news to me as I really hate oily foundation.

My Rating for Revlon Colorstay Makeup with Softflex:

Rating for Scent:3/5 (It has medicine smell but after you apply, the smell turns into something like baby powder smell)

Rating for Product Texture:4/5 (Easy to apply but you have to be quick, need to work area by area, do not use the 5 dots method)

Rating for Product Packaging: 2/5 (the bottle does not come with a pump which I think is rather old fashioned and unhygenic. I transferred a small amount of the product into a tiny bottle so that I do not contaminate the big bottle)

Rating for Product Effectiveness/Coverage: 3/5 (I apply very little product, so the coverage is just sheer natural)

Price: RM53 for 30ml
Will I recommend this product to you: Yes

Dear Readers,
I would like to know your skin type and which brand of liquid or 2-way foundation that you use regularly? This is for my knowledge and the benefit of fellow bloggers/readers. Please leave your comments.

Thanks for sharing.
