I had the opportunity to join the Lancome makeover on 23 Jan 10, thanks to Lilian who gave me the tip-off.

Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Gel Essence

Today, I will introduce to you this Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Gel Essence.

I received this serum as a tier gift. I finished using the 5ml tube and find that it is a product worth the price. It is very good for hydrating your skin. I find it good even for my very oily skin.

Tsuya-Tsuya Korean Night Diva Makeup Workshop

Few weeks ago, I attended a makeup workshop by Tsuya-Tsuya. Thanks to Vonvon who posted the invitation on her blog.

Though it was a very brief workshop (less than 1 hr), we managed to learn about the Korean Diva Night Makeup.  

The criteria of a Korean Night Diva Look is shown in the slide below:

 For the Korean Diva look, BB cream is applied on the face with no loose powder. I am not a fan of BB cream as I have very oily skin and need to put loose powder to set the makeup. I used color 23 which is very close to my skin tone.

 

My eye makeup which I did on myself using NYX eyeshadow and Tsuya-Tsuya Gel Liner in purple. I only used the mascara without the extra lengthening fibre because of time constraint.

 

 

 

What do you think about this look? I think I need to do darker shading as I am a monolid person.

Clarins Hydraquench

 

 

I receive this sample from Clarins counter. I have finished this 5ml gel and will now tell you my review of this product. I think that this product is very good for dry skin. It provides good moisture. As I have very oily skin, I use it at night only (as directed by Clarins' beauty consultant) and find that my skin is smooth in the morning. 

According to Clarins' website, this Clarins Hydraquench Smoothing Gel is best for Hot Climates. This smoothing gel balances skins moisture levels, tightens pores and controls over active oil glands. The perfect moisture boost for a day of office-conditioning.

Ingredients:

Hyaluronic acid: helps maintain ideal moisture levels.

Katafray bark: restructures skins protective outermost layers, limits dehydration.

Sorbier tree bud: stimulates radiance-boosting microcirculation.

Vitamin E: protects against free radic.

Rating for Texture: 4/5 very smooth and absorbs very easily

Overall Rating : 3.5/5

Will I purchase:Most probably not because I have too many moisturiser for night use at the moment

Nail Art Design for Chinese New Year (LAV 005)

Hi, how is your Monday?

I hope you are not having Monday blues as I will be sharing with you a Red Hot Nail Art Design to brighten up your Monday.

This design is my inspired Chinese New Year nail art design.

I just picked up the color and draw. I hope you like the design!

The design on my right hand looks quite Ok despite drawing with my left hand. Can you tell the difference? I guess it is quite similar. Agree?

1. Base coat

5. Color used: Revlon Red No 680 

Note: For this design, I only apply one coat as the coverage is very good, I am very happy with the color payoff of Revlon nail polish, I highly recommend you to get one for yourself.

FIMO NAIL ART DESIGN (LAV 004)

Hi girls,

I hope everyone had a good weekend.

Today, I am going to show you the latest craze in the nail art world. It is called FIMO nail art.

What you need are as below:

1. the FIMO sticks and a sharp pen knife/blade

2. Nail glue

3. Top coat

In the above picture, I only use top coat. However, I remove it after the photo shoot as I need to do some washing.

I purchased the FIMO sticks during the Malaysian Beauty Expo at Mid Valley last week. It cost RM12 for 12 sticks. I believe it is sold online.

Estee Lauder Pure Color Lipstick

 

Those days, when I first started working I had more than 20 lipsticks. I always ended up throwing them away after 3 yrs due to expiry. Now, I try to limit myself not to make any lipstick purchase till half of the current stocks are used up.

I am currently using Estee Lauder Pure Color Crystal Lipstick in 303 Crystal Pink. At the moment, this is one of my favourite lipsticks. I like its sheer coverage. It is not sticky. The color glides easily and the scent is also quite nice. I usually apply lip balm or gloss before applying lipstick. However, when I am using this Estee Lauder lipstick, I do not have to use any lip gloss as a base. It can be used as your lipgloss if you apply 1-2 coats.

In the above picture, I applied 3-4 coats and yet it looks sheer. That's why i like this Estee Lauder lipstick. It does not make your lips looks so "cakey".
