MUFE Artisan Brushes - Why brushes not fingers?

It has been quite some time since I blog. Today I am going to talk about MUFE artisan brushes.

 

 

Do you prefer using brush or finger when you do your makeup? 

Make Up For Ever (MUFE) has launched 75 artisan brushes a few months ago. Although the brushes are made from 100% engineered non-natural fibers, they are as soft as the feel of natural hair.  I am really impressed with the look and feel of these brushes. No wonder the creation of these brushes is considered as a brush revolution!

 
The MUFE artisan brush collection has so many different types of designs - tapered, trapeze, square, fan, flared, round, pointy and angled to allow optimum control in applying, blending, sculpting, shading and lining of make-up.

We were very lucky to have Ms Erika Saenz, Regional Educational Manager MUFE South East Asia to walk us through the features of the brushes.

There are 3 types of bristles on Artisan brushes:

1. Straight

2. Wavy

3. Straight and wavy

 

 Before that, I have no idea that there are so many different textures of bristles.

My understanding of the 3 different textures of hair is:

Straight hair – to pick up more colors for more defined application

Wavy hair – suitable for application of loose powder

Straight & wavy – to achieve the in between effect

 

The unique features of MUFE artisan brushes:

Ms Erika also did a makeup demo on a model. The makeup was applied using fingers on half of the face while the other half, Ms Erika used the MUFE brushes. It is very obvious that the side where brushes were used looked more even toned and defined.

 

 

The makeup on the right was done using brushes. The color is more intense and well blended.

There are a few MUFE brushes that I think is very versatile and worth to invest in. Here are my recommendations:

• #260 Bent Eyeliner Brush - it is an angled brush (30 degree angle) that is designed for applying eyeliner to its precision. It is able to draw a 1mm line with precision.
• #128 Precision Powder Brush – A hybrid between a brush and a puff
• #124 Powder kabuki – it has straight and wavy fibers to apply HD powder and powder foundation for a bonafide airbrush effect in seconds
• #158 Double-Ended Sculpting Brush – Use the angled end to place your blusher for a slimmer and uplifted appearance followed with the fluffy end to blend away harsh lines.
• #204 Double-Ended Shader & Smudger Eye Brush – This brush will help you to achieve smokey eyes in minutes
• #154 Buffer Blush Brush – For stress free application of liquid foundation as it can create a poreless finish

If you don’t own many brushes, you may consider investing in MUFE artisan brushes. Just get the basic few that I have listed above and you will enjoy doing your daily makeup with fabulous result. The price ranges from RM37 – RM235.

It’s never been so easy to play with trends and create incredible colour effects on lips with outstanding precision thanks to the arrow applicator:

Heart-shaped lips

For stunningly delectable lips, adorn them with Rose des Nymphes, plus a hint of Corail Cabriole in the centre. For an even more daring look, apply Rose de Minuit to lips with Orange Manège in the centre – a contrast guaranteed to put lips in the spotlight!

My thoughts:

Of all the products, I am particularly in love with the MASQUE PURIFIANT. Why? It’s simply because I only need 5 mins and while removing the mask I can scrub my face at the same time. For the lazy girls out there, there is no excuse to apply this 2 in 1 mask. The smell is also very pleasant and relaxing.

AVON Beauty Day Out - Over Nature Makeup Collection

Hi friends,

I must say that I had an exciting time at Avon Beauty Day Out recently. Thanks to Avon for organising this event and thanks to Jess for inviting me.

Avon is not new to me. In my growing up years, I remember sneaking into my mom's room and trying out her Avon lipstick. I still remember that Avon had lipstick in small sample sizes which I adored to the max. I guess my love for makeup started since my encounter with Avon lipstick. My mom is not a makeup person but she owned a few lipsticks. I remember the formula then, it was different. Avon has improved a lot since my childhood days. 

I was really impressed when trying out the skincare and makeup during the Avon Beauty Day Out. It was an eye opener for me especially for 2 products - the mascara and the liquid foundation. To me, these 2 are the star products.

Over Nature Makeup set at RM39.90 each (4 shadows and 2 blush). I really love the packaging. It is very convenient for travelling.

Mask time - really enjoyed ourselves

This mask is nice to use. Very refreshing indeed.

After the mask, we tried Avon Anew 360 white skincare. I love the night cream texture.

This is another star product. Ideal Luminous is a very light liquid foundation suitable for oily skin. The texture is light and it applies effortlessly. Only RM29.90 for 25g (on promotion). It's a good deal.

The colours are lovely and there is no "funny" taste.

The yellow mascara (Super extend extreme) is really good - It can lengthens the eye lashes effortlessly. This one is a "Must Buy" item RM19.90 each, buy 2 for RM35.00
