Merry Christmas 2012
Dear Friends,
It's Christmas time again. Another year is coming to an end but another new year is awaiting us with fresh hope and promises. It's time to count our blessings and share our blessings! It's another eventful year for me. I have been to many events and met many new faces, yet those friends that I have known for years are still my closest friends. I thank God for His great blessings in my life and will look to His unfailing love in the years to come.
Christmas is a time of sharing the Precious Gift of God - Jesus Christ who was born some 2000 years ago. Christmas means "Christ has come to us". Indeed He has come to give us eternal life so that whoever believes in Him will never perish.
Christmas has been so commercialized these days and every business is trying to grab this opportunity to encourage us to buy gifts for our family and friends. It is nothing wrong with buying gifts but we must know the meaning of giving gift. God is the one who started this spirit of giving by sending us His Son Jesus Christ - the Perfect Gift. Truely, I sincerely hope that you truly know the meaning of Christmas, beyond the fancy gifts and celebration.
May you have a meaningful Christmas 2012!
May His Joy and Peace surround you.

Hada Labo Air BB Cream - Launch
Dear Friends
Would like to update you on the latest BB Cream by Hada Labo. It is called Air BB Cream. Sounds like Nike Air. Gives me the impression that it is light. Have you tried it yet?
Personally, I am not a fan of BB Cream. My daily makeup routine is just loose powder. I don't like coverage even though I don't have perfect skin. I have tried some BB Creams but so far I only found one that I like. Maybe Hada Labo Air BB Cream can make it to my list. Honestly, I have not tried it yet but from the product texture I can tell that it is light and not oily. So, there is hope that it will make it to my favourite list.
I shall update you after I try it. (here is my review link, do read!)
Back to the product launch. It was held at Acme Bar, Jalan Binjai (The Troika). I took a train to Ampang Park. The location is very near so I had no problem finding the place.
Although Hada Labo Air BB Cream contains several types of silicon but according to Elaine Choo, the molecule of the silicon is bigger than our pores. Therefore, it will not enter the pores, it will only stay on the skin surface. Thus, no worry about clogged pores.
The Application Technique (by Monica Lee)
1. Dabbing method - to achieve the concentration of the pigment at areas that require more coverage such as acne spots, freckles etc.
2. Rubbing method (like applying moisturiser) - This method will spread the pigment evenly on your face but may not give enough covergae fir spots/freckles.
So, Monica recommends to combine both methods to achieve near flawless skin. This Hada Labo Air BB Cream allows layering. The key is to apply very little product on each layer to achieve an almost flawless. It is recommended to apply with foundation brush for more even application.
The extra sensitive range that I have not tried before.
Have you tried this BB cream before? It is available at all leading pharmacies now.

With Sunsilk - No more Afternoon Hair Slump
Dear Readers
I am excited to share with you yet another event that I have attended recently. The Sunsilk event was held at Croisette Cafe at Cascadium Condominium, Bangsar. This place is located near Bangsar Shopping Centre. I had no problem finding the location but parking was another story that I shall not elaborate here.
We were served with healthy food (except the tiramisu almond cake which I love) made from the ingredients such as olive oil, olive, almond, coconut jelly etc. Some of the ingredients are found in Sunsilk hair care range.
I must praise the PR company for the interesting line up of activities for the afternoon. Our session began with something like a cooking class except we don't cook. We were taught how to make our own brown sugar body scrub using various oil such as camelia, coconut, almond, jojoba etc. I have finished using the scrub and find that it is effective in removing dead skin albeit a little oily. It also stained the bathroom floor which entails some cleaning which I dislike.
We had a guest fashion consultant who explained the type of outfit that will suit long, short, curly, colored or black hair. It was an interesting session. I never thought of matching my outfit with my hair.
We had a session where we had to smell and taste the oil to determine its name. For me, this is a very interesting game. Our team got the correct answer after 2 tries.

That afternoon, we were introduced with the new Sunsilk range formulated by it’s hair experts, Thomas Taw and
Yuko Yamashita. The new Nourishing Soft & Smooth and
improved Smooth & Manageable are now infused with the miracle
blend of five natural oils.
We were also introduced with a new terminology (it's new for me) - "An Afternoon Hair Slump"
The Sunsilk representative illustrates an Afternoon Hair Slump as follows:
"You start off your day with great looking hair, but as the
day goes by, your hair loses its gleam and you fall into an ‘afternoon hair
slump’. Your hair falls flat, becomes dull and so does your spirits for the
rest of the day."
The following are information on Sunsilk’s Nourishing Soft and Smooth and Sunsilk’s Smooth and Manageable. Read on for more information about these 2 hair care range.
Sunsilk’s Nourishing Soft and Smooth
The Nourishing Soft & Smooth variant aims to combat dry
hair by keeping your mane well-nourished for a longer period of time and
creating a protective barrier through a blend of five natural oils. The oils
used in this range are Moroccan Argan Oil, Camelia Oil, Almond Oil, Babbasu
Oil and Coconut Oil.
Steps to use
Nourishing Soft & Smooth Shampoo
The first step to caring for your mane begins with the
shampoo. Lather, rinse and repeat are three simple steps to remember when using
the shampoo, which cleanses and softens dry hair.
Nourishing Soft & Smooth Conditioner
Apply the conditioner from mid hair length all the way to
your ends and rinse. This conditioner locks in moisture while smoothing
cuticles and replenishing nutrients and proteins in the hair fibre. It also
detangles and makes hair silky and soft.
Intensive Treatment Mask
Massage this mask through your hair, leave it on for five
minutes and rinse through. This intensive treatment mask should be used at
least once a week for a deeply nourishing treat. It penetrates and restore each
hair strand, leaving it soft and smooth.
Nourishing Spray
The nourishing spray which is infused with a combination of
Moroccan Argan Oil and Babassu Oil with moisturising cream gives you soft and
smooth hair in just two steps. Two shakes, to mix together the nourishing
layers and Two sprays on wet or dry hair, to give you instant moisture.
The Natural Oils in Nourishing Soft and Smooth
Moroccan Argan Oil
Or ‘liquid gold’, is rich in anti-oxidants and said to
contain twice as much vitamin E as olive oil – and leaves a lovely light
feeling. The trees that produce it are so precious they’re protected by the
United Nations
Camellia Oil
The darling of the beauty industry for enhancing hair shine,
it’s sourced from wild Camellia flowers in China and Japan. It was famous among ladies of the Imperial Court for its ability to revitalize hair
with a deep glow
Almond Oil
Packed with lipid and vitamin E, it nourishes the hair and
gives increased elasticity. Also moisturizes the scalp and prevents hair
becoming dry and brittle
Babassu Oil
The oil of the Brazilian Babassu palm moisturizes both scalp
and hair for a soft look and weightless feel. It’s a natural conditioner –
local women love it because it’s absorbed into the hair and leaves no residue
Coconut Oil
Traditionally used to repair damage to skin and hair.
Contains a compound called lauric acid – it provides nourishment for hair while
creating a weightless protective barrier that retains moisture and gives long-lasting
suppleness
Sunsilk’s Smooth and Manageable
The Smooth & Manageable variant transforms unruly hair,
making it manageable by minimize friction between individual hairs for ultimate
smoothness. It contains Keratin Yoghurt Complex™ to provide intense nourishment
and is now enhanced with 5 natural oils: Moroccan Argan Oil, Coconut Oil,
Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil and Olive Oil.
Steps to use
Smooth & Manageable Shampoo
The first step to caring for your mane begins with the
shampoo. Lather, rinse and repeat are three simple steps to remember when using
the shampoo, which smoothens hair by cleansing and coating it with nutrients.
Smooth & Manageable Conditioner
Apply the conditioner from mid hair length all the way to
your ends and rinse. The conditioner detangles and reduces friction, ensuring
hair glides smoothly.
Intensive Treatment Mask
Massage this mask through your hair, leave it on for five
minutes and rinse. This intensive treatment mask should be used at least once
weekly for a deeply nourishing treat. With three times (3x) concentrated
formulation, it locks in moisture for natural smoothness.
Leave On Conditioner
The leave on conditioner is enriched with Keratin Yoghurt
Nutri Complex™, it manages and protects by coating the hair strands to shield
it from harsh environment. It is non-sticky and non-greasy, and for best
results, use as often as needed in between washes.

moisturisation, thus helping to contain unruly and unmanageable hair and
ensuring that hair stays in place.
Olive Oil
Known in the beauty world for its “caring benefits”, this
oil softens, smoothens, and nourishes the most unmanageable hair.

How does it feel to be K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase?
Dear Friends
How have you been lately? I have been very busy at work but managed to attend several interesting beauty events. Thanks to Tammy of Plusize Kitten who has invited me to the K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase event at La Bodega, Bangsar.
It was an awesome event. I did not expect that I would be K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase but Kinerase had actually "kissed" me on my hand and I love the kiss. who wouldn't?
We were requested to dress in blue and I was amazed that a girl actually wore a blue wig!!
It was such a happening event! Basically, we had everything in blue.We were served with blue lip-shaped jelly that tasted yummy! I had 2 of them.
The blue coconut cocktail drink was refreshing too.
There were many bloggers at the party. The whole place was bustling with activities. There was a makeup corner where the makeup artists helped bloggers to paint their lips blue and put blue eye shadow. At the tatoo corner, bloggers were being tatooed with the Blue lips. At the photograph corner, bloggers were busy having their polaroid pictures taken. At the floor, bloggers were seen consulting Kinerase staff with the product range. Some bloggers were busy cathing up and some were busy taking pictures.
Product consultation by Kinerase skincare consultant |
Finally, we arrived at the highlight of the event where we had 3 panelists sharing with us their product knowledge and experience with Kinerase.
Amy Zheng (Kinerase Regional Marketing Director), Dr Koh and Tammy having a light moment |
I believe that it is every woman's dream to have flawless and wrinkle free skin thoughout her life time. It may seemed too much to ask for but with the advancement of the science of skin, Kinerase is confident that they can make every woman's dream a step closer to reality. Although fine lines and wrinkles cannot be completely eliminated as we mature, we can make extra effort to delay the appearance of fine lines.
The Kinerase Promise
Kinerase is a skincare product that has a secret ingredient called Kinetin or scientifically known as N6-furfuryladenine (such a mouthful!). Kinerase is the only professional skincare line that contains optimal concentration of Kinetin which is a bio-growth factor that delays and prevents the onset of aging. Kinetin is clinically proven to improve the various signs of photo aging and also improve the skin's ability to maintain more moisture. Kinerase is suitable for sensitive skin including rosacea and can be used to nurture delicate skin after aesthetic procedures. Through the Kinerase Innovative Skincare Study (K.I.S.S), 76% of all patients showed improvement in skin roughness, mottling, blotchiness, pigmentation and fine wrinkles as early as 4 weeks!
Kinetin is found naturally in plant such as coconut milk and carrot root but one has to consume very large quantity to see significant improvement on the skin.
During the event, I had a chat with Amy Zheng (Kinerase Regional Marketing Director) and found out that the Kinerase skincare that is available on the SkincareRx website are of different formulation. Kinerase for Asian market is manufactured in Singapore by Invida Private Ltd. Therefore, the formulation is specifically designed for Asian skin and Asian climate.
Where to find Kinerase products in Malaysia?
Kinerase is available at dermatologist and aesthetic clinics in Malaysia. So, for Asian customers, you are recommended to browse www.kineraseasia.com.my for the clinics nearest to you.
With Ju Li, Sharon and Wendy (who was still wearing her blue lipstick) |
Wth Tammy - the Kinerase "ambassador" |
Thanks to Kinerase for giving me the lovely photo & frame |
The lovely gifts for us to try out! Thanks Kinerase!
Thanks for dropping by. Have a lovely day!
