Body and Face Painting Gig
Dear Friends
I did some face and body painting during a children's party during Dec last year. I kept the pictures and was only inspired to share them today.
I was invited by the organizer of the party to do some face painting for the children. I really enjoyed my time there. It was fun. Most of the girls requested for flowers. I painted for some boys but I had no time to take picture of my work.
Before that, I did some painting on my own body.
Do contact me if you need a face painter in Petaling Jaya/KL area.

Flash by Jimmy Choo - An Ultra Modern Floral
Dear Friends
Happy Chinese New Year! Today is the first day of the lunar new year and I know that everyone is still in the Chinese New Year mood - eating your favourite cookies and delicacies. Nevertheless, I would like to entertain you with my little writeup about the launch of Jimmy Choo's 2nd fragrance named FLASH.
FLASH
is a solar floral, based around a bouquet of white flowers. Encased
in a luxurious, shimmering, crystal faceted bottle, reminiscent of a paparazzi
flash bulb, FLASH is for the glamorous, urban woman. The
bottle was inspired by a modernist chandelier from the 1970s, and references a
palette of crystal, Lucite and metal.
Natasha
Poly was the model for FLASH. The model’s look and spirit embodies the Jimmy
Choo woman: international, confident and beautiful.
FLASH
is a white floral with a character that is effervescent, carnal and
provocative. The perfumer, Christine
Nagel says, “I created FLASH for the self-confident, urban Jimmy Choo woman: sexy,
rebellious and sophisticated. I imagined
the sound of her heels, clicking on the streets of New York, London and Paris.”
The
fragrance opens with pink pepper, tangerine and strawberry, for a fresh,
sparkling introduction. As these
glittering top notes evaporate, heart notes of strong, exotic white flowers,
with a tuberose signature enriched with notes of jasmine and white lily, reveal
a heady, sexy character. A base of
white, powdery woods gives a lasting impression that is both seductive and
sensual, but never too
My thoughts about FLASH
When I saw the flamboyant bottle, I thought that this fragrance will be very strong. To my surprise, it is not too overpowering at all. I like the base notes that has the woody scent. The base note can linger on the body event after I shower. This woody scent is something that I like a lot.
Key Ingredients
Top
Notes: Pink Pepper, Strawberry
Heart
Notes: Tuberose, Jasmine, White Lily
Base
Notes: Heliotrope, White Woods

Marie France Bodyline – Women behind Women, Weight Loss Journey, Slimming and its Effectiveness
Dear Readers,
Recently, I was invited to attend a sharing session with
Marie France Bodyline’s CEO Amy Quek Swee Li at Marie France KLCC outlet. The
session was held to address the myths and misconceptions surrounding slimming
centres and slimming treatments. The session with Amy Quek was interesting and
beneficial as shared from her vast experience in the beauty and slimming
industry. I was thrilled to learn that Amy Quek has been with Marie France
since 1989. In 2012, she was appointed the first female CEO to helm Marie
France Bodyline.
Marie France Bodyline CEO - Amy Quek |
Marie France Bodyline has more than 20 years of experience
in the slimming industry. As the leader in slimming industry in Asia,
Marie France Bodyline has a network of centres in Hong
Kong, China, Singapore,
Malaysia, Thailand,
Indonesia, Macau
and Brunei.
Today, there are 20 Marie France centres in Malaysia.
Established in Switzerland,
Marie France Bodyline conducts intensive research and development to address
the common issues faced by today’s women such as excess fat tissue, cellulite
and lack of skin elasticity.
Amy Quek shared that Marie France Bodyline observes the 3 main
pillars in their business to ensure favorable result for their clients. The 3
main pillars are:
·
Technology
·
Cheer leader (consultant and therapist)
·
Client’s Compliant (realistic goals)
a) Technology
Amy explained that Marie France Bodyline constantly invests
in state-of the-art technology and rigorous research to ensure that clients
experience the best slimming solution. All equipments used are approved by FDA
and other internationally recognized health authorities. Amy explained that the
recent inventions by Marie France are Cellu Check PlusTM and
Acoustic Radial Therapy (ART). Cellu Check
PlusTM machine is able to analyse the fatty deposits in the body
while Acoustic Radial Therapy (ART) is a
method of combining high energy radial waves with a breakthrough vacuum
technology to metabolise fat cells and reduce cellulite. The ART
radial waves can penetrate the skin up to 35mm. Both the technology has been
certified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) and has garnered much
attention from medical professionals around the world. The Acoustic Radial
Therapy (ART) is able to help women in
battling with cellulite issues caused by hormonal and age related laxity of the
connective tissues.
The treatment is suitable to be administered to various
parts of the body such as the arms, thighs, abdomen and love handles.
b) Cheer Leader (consultant and therapist)
Amy strongly believes that the consultants and therapists
play very important roles in the client’s journey towards achieving the ideal
body shape. The nutritionist in Marie France Bodyline will provide useful
advice to clients so that they can follow a healthy diet and moderate exercise
regime to aid in their weight loss goals. She stressed that the client can
always consult the consultant for advice even after the treatment has been
completed.
c) Client’s Compliant
Amy shared that in every slimming journey, it is important
for the client to discuss realistic goals with the consultant and therapist. It
is also important for the client to follow the advice of the consultant on how
to eat healthily and do some simple exercises. Clients must also visit the
centre according to the agreed schedule so that the slimming goals can be
achieved.
I concluded that the quest to achieve a slimmer silhouette
is not a one sided responsibility by the slimming centre. The client also plays
an important role to ensure that the slimming goals are achieved.
Amy further shared about the recent price transparency that
is being practiced by Marie France Bodyline. She assured that clients will be
informed about their packages and pricing upfront minus any hidden costs. As a
firm believer of consumer rights, Amy stressed that it is important to be
transparent in business. This is because clients will be confident and trust
Marie France for their slimming packages.
At the end of the session, we had the chance to visit the
Marie France outlet In KLCC. Here are some of the pictures:

Kerastase Cristalliste - Sparkling like Crystal
Dear friends
It's February already! Soon it will be Chinese New Year.
Recently, Jess invited me to try the Kerastase Cristalliste hair care range at Centro Prive at KLCC. Centro Prive is actually for VIP customers as there is a small cozy private room.
I have used Kerastase shampoo many years ago but it was a different range.
I was attended by K, a friendly guy who is a hair stylist specialising in outdoor shooting. Kerastase Cristallise shampoo (for fine hair) was used on my hair. I like the smell of the shampoo as it was not too strong.
My hair was rinsed and applied with Kerastase Lait Cristal conditioner. Thereafter, K applied the Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide serum on my hair end. The Kerastase Cristalliste Lumiere Liquide serum is not oily but has a light texture.
Why I like Kerastase Cristalliste shampoo?
1. I notice that my hair does not fall so much compared to using other organic shampoo that I am using
2. It is SLS free, silicone free, paraben free, colorant free
3. It makes my hair feels very light and weightless with its Aloe Vera Illuminator
4. It cleans my oily scalp very well with its oil solubilisation system
Kerastase Cristalliste is available at Centro Hair Salon:
