pureDKNY A Drop of Rose - Launch

Dear Friends,

I am sure you will be excited to hear that DKNY has launched another new fragrance this new year. It is none other than the pureDKNY A drop of Rose. This fragrance is made from rose damascene variety harvested from the Isparta Valley of Turkey.

What is so special about this fragrance? The flowers are handpicked in the cool pre-dawn hours of June each year and brought to the processing plant within hours of harvesting. The hydro-distillation process is used to extract the rose essential oil.

This year, pureDKNY is continuing its partnership with CARE -  a leading humanitarian organization to help lift women out of global poverty. By purchasing the rose from local farmers in Turkey, the majority of whom are women, pureDKNY is helping to secure long term production of rose in Isparta. Hence, the women of Isparta Valley will have a sustainable income.

It is really heart warming to know that pureDKNY is embarking in this partnership with CARE. So, for those of you who is still thinking of what to buy for yourself or your loved ones for this new year, perhaps you should drop by at any DKNY counter and try out the smell. Who knows? You might fall in love with the scent.

I personally love to use rose essential oil. So, pureDKNY is my type of perfume. It smells sweet like a garden of rose but not heavy at all. The good news is that It is an Eau de Parfum, therefore it will last longer.

Smelling Delicious with Golden Delicious by DKNY

This August, DKNY unveils to us yet another collection of the Delicious range. The new fragrance is called DKNY Golden Delicous EDP which I really like. If you have not tried the new DKNY Golden Delicious, drop by at any DKNY counter and try it for yourself. I was invited to the launch recently and had a wonderful time.

DKNY Golden Delicious embraces a radiant modern spirit with the contrast of glistening florals and delicious heat. The top is a refreshing medley of Orange Flower Water, sparkling Mirabelle and signature Golden Delicious Apple. The heart introduces an intoxicating bouquet of White Rose, Casablance Lily, Vanilla Orchid and Muget, while the finish spices up the freshness with a sensual blend of Musk, Sandalwood and Teakwood. It is a scent created to tantalize the senses - bask in its rich elegance as well as its imperial glory. It is the most regal apple of the DKNY Delicious collection.

The Million Dollar bottle is created by the celebrity jeweler Martin Katz. This bottle will be unveiled across the globe from London , to Mexico to Malaysia. It is adorned with 2000 stones (diamonds and gemstones) sourced from around the world. Can you see the New York skyline? The bottle will be available for purchase. The net proceeds will go to Action Against Hunger - a global humanitarian organisation committed to end world hunger.

DKNY Be Delicious EDT - Oct 2010

Recently, I was invited to the launch of DKNY Be Delicious EDT. The event was held at House+Co at Bangsar Shopping Centre. 

This October the DKNY Be Delicious Eau de Toilette Spray is available in Malaysia. The new fragrance is lighter, brighter and more refreshing.

Product Description (obtained from DKNY):

The juicy American apple note, a natural extract, is surrounded by the crisp green wetness of grapefruit and magnolia. At the heart lies tuberose, white muget, rose and shining violet; finished with smooth sandalwood, blond woods and white amber. This new Be Delicious is packaged in a clear bottle with clear juice and a green dip tube. The logo on the carton is also white to symbolize its lighter approach.

I have also been given the opportunity to try a bottle of the DKNY Be Delicious EDT. 

My thoughts on the new DKNY Be Delicious EDT:

I like the bottle because it is shaped like an apple.

I love the fresh crisp scent of the fragrance. 

I only use 3 sprays and it lasted me the whole day. note: This is contrary to my belief that EDT does not stay long. So, I was totally surprised by its lasting power.

Overall, I am pleased with this new fragrance.
