Lancome Lip Lover Launch

Dear Beauty Buddies,

I am so excited to share with you that lancome has launched yet another awesome lip product this month!
It's called Lip Lover and the packaging is so sleek and cool.

Lancome Lip Lover is a hybrid lip product with the biggest ever palette of pinks specially created for lips: 18 feel-good shades divided into two colour families.

Why is Lancome Lip Lover a Hybrid lip product? Because it has the following 3 qualities:
1. The comfort of a balm
2. The refined colour of a lipstick.
3. The shaping shine of a gloss. Lip Lover excels in all areas!

What do I think about Lancome Lip Lover?
To be honest what attracted me most is the packaging. It's small and sleek. So, it's not difficult to bring along in my handbag.
Secondly, I like the color range. You can pick something that is light, medium or darker according to your liking. You can find almost a match to all your different shades of pink outfit in your closet!
Thirdly, the texture is not sticky at all and there is no "funny" taste.

Lip Lover has a trio of best assets:

-        Colour: infused with lipstick pigments

-      Shine: “made-to-measure”, subtle and re-plumping shine that can be built up and intensified layer by layer. Its secret: an ultra-shiny, non-sticky silicone-infused oil allowing for a glide-on texture that smoothes out any irregularities on application.

-       Lipcare: emollient and moisturising agents that lasts up to 8 hrs

A genuine innovation to leave lips flawlessly kissable: Lip Lover is equipped with an intelligent bi-phasic formula. Its emulsion separates on application so the pigmented phase can fuse with lips while the glossy film rises to the surface to sublimely coat lips…

Basic Chic shades
From pink-beige all the way to rosewood, a palette of delights built around the theme of pink!
9 fresh and delicate shades for a subtly lip-beautifying effect. From soft nudes to intensely pigmented shades, the Basics are resolutely Chic.
For example? Casse-Noisette, a ballerina pink with all the grace of a dance step, Beige Adage, a light-infused flesh tone to match the pink in cheeks, or why not Corail Cabriole whose subtle orange accents serve to brighten every complexion...

313 Rose Ballet
314 Casse-Noisette
316 Rose Attrape-cœur
318 Abricot Tango
320 Ambre Arabesque
321 Rose Contre-temps
333 Rose des Nymphes
334 Corail Cabriole
338 Rose des Cygnes

Creative Chic shades
A cascade of resolutely pop shades to offer a daring twist to every look... A sparkling range infused with all the charm of coral, raspberry and deep purple, including a range of mouth-watering delights such as Pas de Prune, an intense magenta to electrify beauty, Rose Gracieuse, a radiant shade with ruby tints, Belle de Rouge, a vibrant shade for mischievous lips, or Bordeaux Tempo, a deep and utterly bewitching purple.

336 Orange Manège
337 Lip Lover
339 Fuschia Attitude
351 Pas de Prune
353 Rose Gracieuse
355 Framboise Étoile
356 Belle de Rouge
357 Bouquet Final
362 Bordeaux Tempo

The star shades

These Lip Lover range shades are simply indispensable. If you had to choose three essential, universal shades to keep all to yourself and at all times:

Rose Attrape-cœur, a delicate peony pink guaranteed to win hearts.
Framboise Étoile, a ripe raspberry shade, for delectably irresistible lips.
And of course Lip Lover itself, a radiant fuchsia you can’t help falling in love with…

Lancome Lip Lover retails at RM75. The above is shade #337 - Lip Lover (if not mistaken)

I am using shade #338

5 Lip-Tips from the Lancôme Make-up Artistry

It’s never been so easy to play with trends and create incredible colour effects on lips with outstanding precision thanks to the arrow applicator:

Heart-shaped lips

For stunningly delectable lips, adorn them with Rose des Nymphes, plus a hint of Corail Cabriole in the centre. For an even more daring look, apply Rose de Minuit to lips with Orange Manège in the centre – a contrast guaranteed to put lips in the spotlight!

Volume-boosting border

Doesn’t every woman dream of defined lips with plumped up volume? The secret: create contrast between the lips and the contour to enhance the central colour. Try using Rose Ballet all over lips with a light border of Air de Violine: a high-volume effect without fail!

Plumped-up lips

For impossibly plump lips, try using a light shade over the whole lip with a dark shade at the corners: two hints of Ambre Arabesque will accentuate Pas de Prune, or why not try a duo of Violette Pirouette at the corners with Framboise Étoile as the base tone.

Tone-on-tone volume

Choose two shades fairly close together in the colour palette to balance out the width of the upper and lower lips. Apply the lighter colour to the thinner lip to bring out its volume; use the darker colour on the thicker lip. For example, try it out with Rose Attrape-cœur and Lip Lover!

Crazy contrast

Go for a daringly wild mix & match with surprising colour contrasts like Abricot Tango on the upper lip, juxtaposed with Fuchsia Attitude on the lower lip.

Have you checked out the Lancome Lip Lover yet? Do check them out when you are out in the mall this weekend and let me know your favourite shade, will you?

Have a happy week!

Product Review: Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream & Stage Lip Gloss

Dear Friends

I have done this look quite some time ago but today is the opportune time to show you. This post is actually a review of 2 products that I like:
1. Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream SPF 30 PA ++ (Sheer Silky Skin)
2. STAGE lip gloss (in No. 16 Persephone).

Finally, I can say that I have found my Holy Grail (HG) BB Cream for my oily skin! The color of the BB Cream is just perfect for my skin tone (MAC NC 30). I applied Skin Food Buckwheat loose powder in No. 21 on top of the BB Cream. This loose powder has superb oil control properties. It is my HG loose powder. I bought this loose powder again and again because it is good for my oily skin.

Can you see the heathy glow? I hope so.

Other products used.

Using Elizabeth Arden Eye Shadow in Indigo and Revlon matte, Urban Decay Sky Scraper Mascara

STAGE lip gloss has a very good brush applicator

STAGE lipgloss in No. 16 Persephone - See the sparkle?

See the color, it brightens my pout!

My Review on STAGE Lip Gloss:

Like
1. The applicator is very good
2. The color is very pigmented and suits my cool skin tone
3. The lip gloss texture is not super sticky and there is no wierd taste
4. It moisturise the lips well (I wore it on its own all the time)

Dislike
1. I think it is quite expensive about RM50 plus (but I bought it during sales, only RM18)
2. Not very long lasting

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream, Sheer Silky Skin - A winner for me
Why I like Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream?
1. Does not oil up my skin but gives a healthy glow (lasts up to 4 hrs before the blotting paper is needed)
2. Does not clog my pores
3. Nice smell
4. Easy to apply evenly on the skin, blends easily & not cakey (How I apply : spread the BB cream on my palm and use 2 fingers to pat on your skin, then apply evenly)
5. has a pump dispenser
6. Color suits my skin tone (MAC NC 30)
7. has SPF 30 PA ++
8. Medium coverage but gives a sheer look (true to the label - sheer silky skin)
9. Can cover my undereye dark circle
10. Does not oxidize on my skin like other typical BB cream

Price : RM70+ (Dec 2011) but I got this at RM40 plus from Korea

This BB Cream suits my skin color (MAC NC 30)
The oil test - I put the BB Cream on a piece of oil blotter and left it for 14 hrs

After 14 hrs, you can see the small oil stain. Therefore, I think Etude House BB Cream is less oily than normal BB Cream

Have you tried the Products before? How do you like it?

Have a lovely weekend!

Product Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow and Lip Gloss

Dear friends

Today I will be reviewing Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow and lip gloss that I received during the recent product launch in Oct 2010. I will be showing you the swatches and also 2 EOTDs (Eye of the Day).

Purple Passion - Satin Finish (has a slight shimmer)

Lavish Mink - Matte finish (This color is super pigmented, you just need to touch it lightly)

Look at the lovely casing. This casing is designed in such a way that even if you accidentally dropped it, the eye shadow will not crack. This was demonstrated to us during the launch.

Left: Lavish Mink - This is a Brownish Black color. The texture is matte and super pigmented / Right: Purple Passion has a satin finish with a very slight glitter

The lip gloss is called Simply Pink Shine No 35
The following are the EOTDs.
First one, using Purple Passion to create a purplish look (obviously)

Second one, using Lavish Mink to create a brown look

What do I like about Pure Color Gloss?
1. Non sticky
2. Pigmented - can be worn alone without lipstick
3. Hydrating
Price: RM75

What do I like about Pure Color Eye Shadow?
1. Very Pigmented ( The Matte finish is more pigmented than the Satin Finish)
2. Easy to work on i.e. color can be built up, layer by layer
3. the casing is cute
Price: RM70 each
Hope you like my EOTDs.

Skin Food Choco Melt Lip Gloss

Today, I would like to show you the Skin Food Choco Melt Lip Tube that I use almost daily. I leave one in my handbag.

Why I like it:

It looks good on its own. It keeps my lips moist in the air-cond office.
I do not need to apply lipstick if I apply the pink shade.
Note: The brown shade is more neutral and can be applied before or after lipstick application. For those who like it nude, you will prefer the brown shade.

Left - Brown                              Right - Pink

Rating for Scent:4/5 (I like the chocolate flavour)
Rating for Product Texture: 3/5 (a bit on the sticky side)
Rating for Product Packaging: 4/5
Rating for Product Lasting Effect: 3/5
Price: RM26 for each tube
Will I repurchase: Yes (because I like the flavour and color)

What lip gloss are you using now? Any favourite?

Thanks for sharing

Estee Lauder Lip Gloss

This Estee Lauder lip gloss was given to me by my good friend who was once my housemate.

The gloss is called High Gloss Ultra Brillance. The color is no. 14 Amethyst.

It is really very glossy and smells like candy. the color is towards the purple tone.

This is one of my favourite lip glosses because of the nice smell. However, it is not very lasting although it is a bit sticky.

My Rating: 3.5 / 5

Price: unavailable

What is your favourite lip gloss? Pls share....
