Product Review: Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme

Hello My Beautiful friends,

I bought this Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-in-Place ShadowCreme in no 18 Pink Pearl last year and has not been using it for some time. This is because I did not bring it to the office where I put on my makeup. I think I have to bring this tomorrow and make good use of it.

This cream shadow is my first cream shadow. It is something like MAC Paint Pot though I have not tried them. I chose this color because it is very near to skin tone and can be used under various powder shadows in my collection.

Product Description

15-hour staying power. Intense, stay-true color goes on smooth and creamy for even, seamless coverage that lasts all day. Crease free. Ophthalmologist-tested. Fragrance free.

The color is no 18 in Pink Pearl

Swatch once. Texture is smooth and creamy but dries very fast

The texture is creamy and smooth but dries up very quickly. I use it like an eye makeup base. It is very useful for doing smoky eye.

How to use a Cream Shadow?

1. Spread the color evenly using ring finger or a flat brush (I do not use any eye base when using this cream shadow)

2. Apply a layer of powder shadow on top

3. If you make any error, you can clean it using a Q tip immediately before it dries up.

1. The shadow lasts till evening. As I have oily lid, it does crease a little but generally it has good staying power

2. Easy to apply

Dislike

Price: RM65 (5g) (price as at 2011)

It is pricey but it can last very long.

Product Review: Love Aplha Eye Shadow

It was shocking to know about the Tsunami that happened in Japan last Friday. Many disasters had happened in many parts of the world almost very regularly. It may be a sign of the end times. (if you believe that there is such a thing as the end time). The Bible did say about the end time and the signs of end times. It did say that God will not destroy the world with water unlike the days of Noah.

Ok back to my review on Love Alpha eye shadow. These eye shadows are provided by kkcenterhk for my reviews. I have some swatches but did not have an EOTD.

The price is less than USD 4.00 for each palette

The swatches are done without primer. I swap the color 2 times.

My Thoughts about Love Alpha Eye shadow:

I am not sure where these eye shadow are manufactured but I have a feeling that it may be China. The packaging is very compact and I love the packaging.

I love the colors as they are quite pigmented when swatched on the hand. However, I find that it does not show so well on the eye lid. I find it hard to blend. Maybe the texture is too shimmery.

I am not so keen on using these eye shadow as I find it hard to blend and for some reasons it doesn't show on my lid.

Product Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow and Lip Gloss

Dear friends

Today I will be reviewing Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow and lip gloss that I received during the recent product launch in Oct 2010. I will be showing you the swatches and also 2 EOTDs (Eye of the Day).

Purple Passion - Satin Finish (has a slight shimmer)

Lavish Mink - Matte finish (This color is super pigmented, you just need to touch it lightly)

Look at the lovely casing. This casing is designed in such a way that even if you accidentally dropped it, the eye shadow will not crack. This was demonstrated to us during the launch.

Left: Lavish Mink - This is a Brownish Black color. The texture is matte and super pigmented / Right: Purple Passion has a satin finish with a very slight glitter

The lip gloss is called Simply Pink Shine No 35

The following are the EOTDs. 

First one, using Purple Passion to create a purplish look (obviously)

Second one, using Lavish Mink to create a brown look

What do I like about Pure Color Gloss?

1. Non sticky

2. Pigmented - can be worn alone without lipstick

3. Hydrating

Price: RM75

What do I like about Pure Color Eye Shadow?

1. Very Pigmented ( The Matte finish is more pigmented than the Satin Finish)

2. Easy to work on i.e. color can be built up, layer by layer

3. the casing is cute

Price: RM70 each

Green and Brown Eye Shadow (EOTD) for monolid

How are you lovelies? Today's look is another office look that I like. It is a combination of green and brown shades with a little rose pink. A very earth tone look.

Note: I usually don't use eyeliner for my lower eye.

Brown eye shadow for single eyelid + FOTD

I apply the darker shade at the outer corner of the eye first.

I use clear mascara on lazy days like today - it eases the cleaning but not much impact though
