Male Waxing, Is It Now The Norm?
Hi My Beauty Buddies,
Do you think that male waxing has become the norm today? I am not too sure but according to recent surveys, more and more modern
men have found a number of benefits to waxing. Male waxing allows men to
remove unsightly and embarrassing body hair without the disadvantages that are
associated with other hair removal techniques, such as shaving.
There are a number of reasons why waxing has become the norm for men. One reason is because spouses frequently prefer men without hair. However, instead of shaving, which can lead to prickly body hair and unsightly bumps, men have begun to utilize waxing services because it provides longer results, rarely results in bumps, and the hair grows back thinner, rather than darker and sharper.

However, instead of shaving, which can lead to prickly body hair and unsightly bumps, men have begun to utilize waxing services because it provides longer results, rarely results in bumps, and the hair grows back thinner, rather than darker and sharper.
Vanity is another reason that men are seeking waxing services. Whether going to
the gym or taking a jog around the neighbourhood, no man wants to bear their
chest when it is covered with hair. A hairless chest also makes it easier to
show off a great physique instead of hiding it behind a mass of hair.
Some men find waxing convenient because it can help them to sweat less. Having a chest or back covered in hair can actually make a person sweat more, which can be both unattractive and inconvenient. By removing unwanted hair, the body is less likely to overheat when working out or going about everyday activities. The male body already produces more sweat than the average woman, so excessive hair can only exacerbate the issue. Hair also holds onto smells, which can be unhygienic.
Waxing is also convenient for swimmers who are looking to increase their speed and improve their performance. However, waxing is also convenient for those who simply want to enjoy a leisurely swim at the local pool or at the beach. Not only does a hairless body feel better in the water, but it looks better as well!
The stereotypes revolving around waxing are quickly breaking down. It is no longer exclusively for us women but is quickly becoming the norm for men as well. Whether doing it for themselves or doing it for the benefit of their significant other, men are quickly realizing the benefits to hair waxing.

Tribute to my colleague and friend
Dear Friends
Today, I want to share with you that I lost a colleague and a friend. She went home to be with the Lord yesterday night after fighting for about 2 years. She has been very strong and I am proud of her. I shall miss her. She has been so kind to me. I admire her patience and gentleness.
The cross stitch was sewn by her. She showed it to us when we visited her in May 2011. Time flies.
Dear Sister,
I just want you to know that I miss your company discussing about simple thing like health food. I will remember you when I eat avocado. You were the one that taught me how to eat avocado. I will remember your laughter and the jokes you told. I could still hear your voice in my memory.
I am comforted as you are in a better place now.

I want to go Travelling
Hi People
It is mid year now and what have your been doing lately? I have been thinking and dreaming quite a lot. I wish I can travel more often. This year I have only been to Krabi and I do not have any holidays line up yet. I hope to be able to plan ahead for another trip this year. It may be a nearby country but I do hope that I can go to Greece in the near future. My friend told me that Santorini is a beautiful city. Has anyone been there before? I also want to visit the Acropolis and many other places.
Do you have any holiday plans for the 2nd half of this year? Do share with me.
Happy working tomorrow.

Food Review: Yamagoya Ramen at Publika
Hi Friends
Yesterday, I went to Yamagoya Ramen at Publika, Solaris Dutamas for food tasting. I am not a big fan of ramen nor a fan of Japanese food. However, I was invited by the lovely people at Yamagoya to try out their ramen. I was quite reluctant at first but due to Chloe's sincere invitation I agreed to go with 2 other blogger friends.
Yamagoya Ramen at Publika is a nice and cosy restaurant serving "non-halal" ramen and other side dishes. We were attended by Bosco, the outlet manager who recommended their signature ramen for us to try out.

The founder of Yamagoya Ramen is Mr Masatoshi Ogata who after countless research came up with the Yamagoya recipe. Today, Yamagoya Ramen has over 100 outlets in Japan and this outlet in Publika is the 1st in Malaysia and was opened on 8 Apr 2012. How lucky we are to be given the opportunity to savour the Yamagoya recipe prepared by their Japanese chef!
What is special about Yamagoya Ramen is that the ramen is freshly prepared at the shop every morning. I can taste that the ramen is fresh. We also tried the Gyoza (similar to "Sui Kau") and the "kampung" fried chicken. The Gyoza is very tasty and the filling is nice. The fried chicken is very tender and juicy.

My trip to Klong Nin Beach, Koh Lanta Yai, Krabi, Thailand
Hi Friends
I went for a short trip to Krabi, Thailand on 3-7 March 2012. I booked the hotel, Amantra Resort & Spa from Groupon without checking the actual location. 99% of the guests in Amantra Resort are from European countries and we later found out why they love this far away Island.
Upon reaching Krabi International Airport, our hotel guide did not pick us up. We had to arrange our own transport and it was then that we found out the distance from Krabi airport!! We were really shocked and surprised! However, we cannot do anything but to endure the journey. It took us 4 hours (including waiting time) to reach the hotel. By the time we reached the hotel, we were dead tired as it was 8pm Krabi time. Fortunately, we managed to enjoy our Island trip that we booked while we were waiting for the transit to the hotel.
Amantra Resort & Spa is located at Klong Nin Beach at Koh Lanta Yai, Krabi. Little did we know that it was a little island south of Krabi that is linked by 2 ferry rides. The journey from the airport to the hotel is about 2.5 hours. We will never booked this hotel if we did our research. Incidentally, Amantra Resort's tag line is "You'll never forget us" - indeed we will never forget them as it is so far from the airport!! Most Malaysian tourists will visit Au Nang beach at Krabi but Koh Lanta is a very special place that is not popular among asians. We were glad we accidentally went there!!
It was an enjoyable trip as my travel partner is a very flexible and adventurous girl. It is very important to have the right travel partner. It can make or break your holiday.
Here are my pics.

Aftermath of an encounter with Robbers
Hi friends
This is not a beauty related post but an update of what happened to me on Monday 26 March 2012 at 7.10pm at my apartment carpark area.
I lived in an ungated property and I became the victim of a robbery when I came back from work on that day. It was still very bright and I was not alert of a motorbike with 2 guy that looked like Malay/Indonesian, one fat and one thin. I was walking towards my unit and the thin one ran towards me and pulled my handbag. I put up a fight and shouted but finally the evil man won and ran away with my bag and everything in it. I was bruised as I fell on the floor. My hair was pulled and I was beaten up by the heartless animal. The neighbours came out after the incident (which is nothing unusual)
The first thing I did was to report to the bank to block all my cards. (Fortunately my housemate was in). My house key and car key was gone. My handphone was gone too.
I asked a few friends to pray that my bag would be returned by a kind person. And God is really good, on the next day a fireman called my office and I got my beloved bag returned. The kind Malay man, Yusri found my bag at Taman Jaya park. He went for his morning exercise with his children. God bless you Yusri.
Although there is nothing much left, I was thankful that I got back the following items:
1. Driving licence
2. My shopping card
3. My medical card
4. My YSL lipstick
5. My house key (despite that I had my locks replaced)
The cleaner found my car key while sweeping the floor. So, I got back my car key too. God bless you too Mr Mani.
I could not sleep for almost a week. I was very disturbed and angry at the 2 animals. When my friend asked me what nationality they are, I simply say they are "xxxx xxx xxx*". (I do not like to use swear words but I was too angry). My body is still aching now but my heart is really hurt. The animals ruined my Radley handbag that was less than a year old and my phone that was equally new. My total loss is about RM1500.

Malaysia is a very dangerous place to live, I concluded. (This is my 2nd encounter with robbers)
The police even laughed at me when I showed him my wounds. Can u imagine?
I am still thinking how not to carry a handbag. Do you carry a handbag? How do you spread out your belongings so that you will not lost everything if this untoward incident happen?
Despite the incident that had happened, I still have to be brave and continue living as though nothing had happened. Please pray for me.
Thanks

Korean Food
Are you a fan of Korean Food? Maybe you know SkinFood more than Korean Food. Or are you a fan of Korean drama?
I am not really a fan of Korean Food but I happened to eat Korean Food on 2 consecutive weekends. Last night I went to the Korean Village in Ampang area and had Korean Barbeque and came out smelling like human barbeque. Then, we proceed to the Korean minimart and got ourselves some Korean ice-cream that tasted so yummy.
I ate the Korean Bibimbap last Sunday at KimchiHaru, Subang Jaya. This is the food that I always order when I go there. It is rice with vege, egg and chicken. I like it.
Generally, Korean food is less oily. Therefore, it is good for our health.
