Product Review: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess eye color

Dear Friends
I have been wanting to share with you the Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess limited edition collection but was too busy with work. I hope that the collection is still available now. Please pardon me for the delayed review.
Product Description (extracted from Estee Lauder's Press Release)
Inspired by hues from the surf and sand, the NEW, Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Island Oasis EyeShadow Palette of six irresistibly wearable shades brightens and defines eyes by day and transforms them by night. The eyeshadows’ delicate iridescent pigments allure with radiance and luminosity in warm sand shades of copper, bronze, gold and coral balanced by cool surf hues of turquoise, seashell pink, silver and seaweed.

Inspired by the hues and atmosphere of luxurious resorts on the Riviera, the collection invites you to sit poolside and take in the cool waters, warm sand beaches and sun’s luminous rays. Experience the casual luxury and seductive spirit of a Goddess with shades that sparkle, shimmer and shine for eyes, lips and nails, while face and décolletage are transformed into golden, glowing perfection

Inspired by long walks on the beach and treasured mementos from the sea, NEW, Limited Edition Bronze Goddess Sea Star Bronzing Blush is a beautifully-crafted, feather-light illuminating blush that enhances any skin’s bronzed complexion with a perfectly warm sun-kissed glow. Featuring an artful starfish resting on a shimmering sand-inspired background, the silky, soft powder bronzing blush gives skin a naturally radiant, smooth, sun-kissed finish. Color-true and with buildable coverage, this unique bronzing blush enhances your natural cheek color with an added touch more summer radiance with every stroke. Easy to apply and blend, the blush can be worn alone, or over any Bronze Goddess bronzer and will not streak or settle into pores.

Each color is swatch one time without using any primer/ eye base. You can see how pigmented they are.

Product Review
The eye color showed really well even though I just used very little product. I just dab my brush lightly on the color and picked up the color very easily. The texture is very similar with the Estee Lauder Pure Color Eye Shadow that I reviewed in 2010.
I simply love the intensity of the color because what I see is what I get!

For those who do not own many eye color palette yet, you may want to consider getting this as it has very good color combination and brilliant color payoff. I am very pleased with the formulation and I think that Estee Lauder eye color has improved tremendously over the years as compared to the Pure Color range that I bought in 2009.

As you can see I have created 2 looks using this palette. I think you can easily create more than 4 looks with this palette.

For the first look, I used the Gold color (inner corner) and the darkest color (outer corner) and lightest color as the highlighter at the brow bone. As you can see, the gold color shows really well even with the bad camera lighting. Doing mt eye shadow takes me less than 5 mins due the good color payoff. The gold color does add some glam to my makeup look.

For the 2nd look, I used the blue color (inner corner) and the darkest color (outer corner). The blue really shows well just like the rest of the colors.
My favourite color is the blue and darkest color. You can create a brown look or nude look with this palette as well.

Overall, I think this is a very versatile palette. I love the packaging of the eye palette as it is magnetic.

As the bronzer is quite light and doesn't show well on camera, I did not have a picture to show you. The powder is very fine and has a shimmery finish.

I must tell you that I really adore the star fish design. The star fish is simply beautiful! I can stare at it and be captivated by its sheer beauty....day dreaming of my holiday by the sea....ha...ha....

The full range of Bronze Goddess makeup is available exclusively at Estee Lauder in Isetan KLCC, The Gardens and Lot 10. (I hope they are still available, else you have to wait for the next limited edition). I am actually looking forward to see the holiday Block Buster collection 2011.

Fasio Eye Shadow : EOTD and Product Review

Dear Friends

Just want to share with you my thoughts about Fasio eye shadow and a smokey eye look.

I bought this palette from Kose Warehouse sale in Dec 2010. The normal price is RM40 + but I got it for RM15 only. What a steal!

The color code is F-3.

The colors are very pigmented. I used the creamy base (on the left) before putting the colors.
For this look, I did not use my usual Urban Decay primer Potion  (UDPP) as a base. Read my review here.

Overall, I am very pleased with the color payoff but there are some fallout when I use a brush to apply. So, to solve the problem, I use my fingers to pat the color and later use a blending brush to blend out the colors.

No make up was used on the face as I was just trying out the eye color.

Have you tried Fasio Eye shadow before?

Have a lovely week. I am on holiday for Chinese New Year.

The Barely There Purple EOTD

Hi Readers

Today is a lazy Saturday. Despite that I would like to share a natural Purple EOTD that I wore to work during the week. Sorry I did not take pics of the products used. The pictures are not too clear as I was in a hurry.

I used the Empro mascara for this look and you can see that my lashes are longer. (usually I omit mascara)

Thanks for visiting.

EOTD: A simple everyday look

Dear Readers

Just want to share with you a simple everyday look.
Sorry, I did not capture the items used.

Basically you need 3 colours.
1. Beige - a color closest to your skin tone (I use a non shimmer color - as a highlighter under my brow bone)
2. a light shimmery color for the lid area
3. a brownish black color- for the outer lid area (for definition)

So, here is the look.

Thanks for visiting.

Have a good week ahead!
