My Experience at CRES Wellness

This is my first encounter with CRES and I had no idea what facial treatment that they are offering me. At first, I was quite lazy to go. On a second thought, I arranged the appointment and go ahead with it. Well, I’m glad I went.

I would say that my experience at CRES was a pleasant one. The room was spacious and comfortable, equipped with a washing basin. This is a good point because it will ensure the cleanliness of the equipments used especially the sponge and cloth.

After cleansing my face, I was put under a cold steam and I really love the cool sensation with cool mist covering my face. I felt like I was at a winter wonderland.

Next, the therapist did the extraction on me. It was quite painful. Nevertheless, I endured the pain. Why? I am sure you are familiar with the phrase “No pain no gain”

After the extraction, the therapist applied a few types of serum and used natural quartz crystal to perform therapeutic Chakra Massage on my face. It was quite a relaxing experience.

These are the crystal that was used to massage my face. Don’t they look pretty?

Next, I was being treated using the Radio Frequency (RF). RF is beneficial for firming and contouring the skin. This I must say is the highlight of the treatment. I love the amazing result!

As you can see from the picture one side of my face (left) which was treated looked firmer and sharper. I truly like the RF treatment. The firming effect lasted for a few days.

After the RF treatment, the therapist mixed the mask in a bowl. It looked like the batter for making pan cake.

Yum yum, delicious! I am not sure how the taste was like.

The mask was applied on my face and I looked like a mummy. A living mummy to be exact!

After 20 mins, the mask was removed from my face. Look at the mask that has dried up, don’t you think that it looked like pan cake?

In my personal opinion, Ultra Rejuvenation Crystallinear Therapy is very suitable for ladies who are concerned about sagging facial contour and those who want to prevent signs of ageing. Prevention is better than cure. Don’t you agree?

In the past, I have read about RF treatment but I have not tried it before. After trying the RF treatment at CRES wellness, I must say that I really love the RF treatment as my face looked firmer and more radiant.

Hope you will also have a chance to try out this facial at CRES Wellness.

Thanks for your support and stay pretty!

Clarins makeover Sept 2011

Dear readers

Apologies for the lack of post. I am still down with flu and cough. In order not to bore you, I will show you my makeover at Clarins 2 weeks ago.

I bought 2 items on impulse. These are unplanned purchase. Nevertheless, I have tried the sample items before.

The makeover was not a detailed one. I would say it was done half heartedly. The artist did not even apply eyeliner for me. I suspect no eye primer was used. You can see how smudgy the eye make up after just 2 hours. Gosh!

However, I was quite pleased with the photo taken. The photo editor kept on asking me to purchase extra pics but I did not as I think that the makeup was not good at all. I can do a better job. I hope the Clarins people will take note of this.

Enough of ramblings. Here are the pics.

After Makeover - pics taken at home

Can you see the smudges? I hate them. Don't they know that there is such thing called UDPP?

Thankfully the pics turn out ok

Thank you for visiting and have a great day.

My UDPP Operation

Dear Readers

Some of you may know how I love my Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (UDPP). I have reviewed it here. I used it each time before I apply my eye shadow to make sure that the color stays intact the whole day even after my exercise.

I used my UDPP since April 2010. It was a 16.3 ml tube. Recently, I could hardly get any product from the tube and so I decided to conduct a "surgery" on the tube to see whether I can escavate any products from it.

To my surprise, I managed to dig out 7ml of products from the tube! I used a Clinique 7ml container to store the product and there are still some remainder in another container. 7ml is actually slightly less than half of the products in the original tube. What a waste if I actually threw it away. Thankfully, I did the "surgery".

So, if you have a UDPP tube that you don't seemed to be able to get any product from using the wand, I suggest that you try this out. The tube is actually very hard but the bottom part is thinner. I saw a small crack and used my scissors to cut it open. It is quite an exciting operation.

so much products inside!

7ml of products and some remainder

Totally cleaned up!

Now, I use a flat brush to pick up the product and apply it on my eyelid. This method is working fine for me. Sometimes I used my finger to even out the product on my eyelid.

Have anyone of you tried this operation before? Do share.
Happy reading!

Givenchy Makeover August 2011

Dear Friends

I was invited to the Givenchy makeover recently. Chervon of Givenchy extended the invitation to Jess and Jess has kindly extended the invitation to a few lucky bloggers. Thanks Jess!

I have never tried Givenchy products before and know very little about their product.

After using the skincare shown below to prep my skin, Mr Bong, the makeup artist put some makeup base followed by Givenchy Photo Perfexion Light SPF 10 liquid foundation.

The texture of the Givenchy Photo Perfexion Light SPF 10 liquid foundation is not thick and provides medium coverage. The color used on me was no 6.

Mr Bong is a skillful makeup artist and immediately knew what technique to use for my monolid. He started by applying kohl pencil and smudge the color out followed by applying taupe & brown eye shadow. The result was a more defined eye albeit still small. Overall, I am pleased with the makeover.

The one thing that intrigued me about Givenchy products is that a single color eyeshadow comes in 4 different textures in one. The blushers and loose powder also have the same concept.

Givenchy eye shadow has 4 different textures in one color.

The blushes are lovely with 4 tones in one, lovely ya?

Mr Bong at work
Overall, I like the texture of Givenchy products. Unfortunately, they don't last on my oily skin. After about 1 hour, my skin started to oil up. the foundation also oxidized very fast making me looked tanned. The eye shadow also creased on me after 2 hours as I have oily lid. I usually used Urban Decay Primer Potion (UDPP) to prep my eyelid before applying eye shadow. I guess my eye can't live without UDPP my HG shadow base.

As for the Givenchy Photo Perfexion Light SPF 10 liquid foundation, I actually liked the texture and light weight, non-cakey texture. It gives a healthy glow in the picture. Unfortunately I suspect it is not designed for oily skin. My skinned turned super oily after 1 hour or so.  I believe this foundation will suit those with dry or normal skin as it will make the skin glowy.

After makeover

Can you see that my face starts to oil up? I don't fancy oily face though.

Pics with other lovely bloggers

I would like to thank Givenchy for the lovely makeover. This is one of the makeovers that I am pleased with albeit the "oily" result. Maybe they have oil control foundation and the makeup artist did not pick that for me.

For those of you who have not tried Givenchy products, do drop by at the nearest counter to check them out.

Thanks for reading!
