Anyway, hope you are doing well. Recently, I attended the launch of Payot Expert Purete. Payot Expert Purete range is designed to help combination/ oily skin achieve clear, purified and radiant skin. Chilean mint extract: Regulates seborrhea. Prevents the appearance of inflammation that leads to cutaneous imperfections.

Beauty Advice:

As a mask: apply a thin layer to the face. Leave to act for 5 minutes, then rinse.

My thoughts:

Of all the products, I am particularly in love with the MASQUE PURIFIANT. Why? It’s simply because I only need 5 mins and while removing the mask I can scrub my face at the same time. For the lazy girls out there, there is no excuse to apply this 2 in 1 mask. The smell is also very pleasant and relaxing.

Shills - Bulgaria Rose Skincare launch

Dear friends

Have been quite busy at work this month. Thank God I still find time to attend Shills product launch. This time, they launched the Bulgaria Rose Skincare range. I think the product range is quite complete. 

Every product contains the Bulgaria Rose essential oil. The Shills Bulgaria Rose Skincare is very soothing to the senses, I feel like I am in a rose garden.

This Shills Rose Luxury Essence is a serum that is fast absorbing. The texture is very light, almost watery and smells great too. The serum is for hydration and anti-aging.

Rose Luxury Essence RM99 for 30ml

The Shills Rose Essential 5 in 1 Deep Clarifier is a multi-functional product that can remove make-up, clean, exfoliate, moisturise and control sebum. I haven't tried this but seems to be interesting. Have not seen such a product before.

RM79 for 250ml

The Shills Rose Essential Whitening and Repair Night Cream is quite impressive. Besides smelling good it has a non-oily texture. I tested the product on my skin and I like the texture. I have also tried the texture of the Day Cream and like the gel texture. The Day cream is also non-oily, perfect for Asian weather. I am quite impressed with this product range.

There was a product demo during the event. The trainer showed us the correct way to apply all the products.

How does it feel to be K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase?

How have you been lately? I have been very busy at work but managed to attend several interesting beauty events. Thanks to Tammy of Plusize Kitten who has invited me to the K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase event at La Bodega, Bangsar.

 

It was an awesome event. I did not expect that I would be K.I.S.S.ed by Kinerase but Kinerase had actually "kissed" me on my hand and I love the kiss. who wouldn't?

We were requested to dress in blue and I was amazed that a girl actually wore a blue wig!!

It was such a happening event! Basically, we had everything in blue.We were served with blue lip-shaped jelly that tasted yummy! I had 2 of them. 

 

The blue coconut cocktail drink was refreshing too.

There were many bloggers at the party. The whole place was bustling with activities. There was a makeup corner where the makeup artists helped bloggers to paint their lips blue and put blue eye shadow. At the tatoo corner, bloggers were being tatooed with the Blue lips. At the photograph corner, bloggers were busy having their polaroid pictures taken. At the floor, bloggers were seen consulting Kinerase staff with the product range. Some bloggers were busy cathing up and some were busy taking pictures.

Finally, we arrived at the highlight of the event where we had 3 panelists sharing with us their product knowledge and experience with Kinerase.

I believe that it is every woman's dream to have flawless and wrinkle free skin thoughout her life time. It may seemed too much to ask for but with the advancement of the science of skin, Kinerase is confident that they can make every woman's dream a step closer to reality. Although fine lines and wrinkles cannot be completely eliminated as we mature, we can make extra effort to delay the appearance of fine lines.

The Kinerase Promise

Kinerase is a skincare product that has a secret ingredient called Kinetin or scientifically known as N6-furfuryladenine (such a mouthful!). Product Review: Intense Plus BTX Age Defense Concentrate

Several weeks ago, I was contacted by a representative of Intense Plus to review their Intense Plus BTX Age Defense Concentrate. Intense Plus is a salon product. I am not familiar with this brand before this. So far, I have been using this product for about 3 weeks and wish to share my thoughts about this serum.

 

The texture is creamy but not oily. It is very fine

Product Description

This very light but concentrated serum (15% of active ingredients) smooth away skin surface irregularities. After 8 days, you can see first result. Wrinkles are plumped up. Skin looks radiance and luminous. Skin is relaxed, calm & moisturized. Time is stopped and ageing process is slowed down.

Content: 35ml

Suitable for all skin types

Direction

Apply the serum in the morning and night followed by day cream before sunscreen or any night cream. To increase the product efficiency, apply underneath a mask 2 times a week

What I like about Intense Plus BTX Age Defense Concentrate

1. The texture is creamy but not oily/heavy. It is light and absorbs very fast into my skin.

2. There is very minimal scent

3. It contains collagen to plump up the skin

4. My skin are well hydrated

5. I only use 2 pumps. I like the pump dispenser as it can keep the product from contamination

Although I have sensitive skin, my skin does not have any negative reaction to the product. My skin looks more toned up after each application. 

Note: This product contains dimethicone, if you have allergy to this ingredient, you may want to avoid trying. (I am fine with this ingredient)

It's already March 2012! Do you think it is rather fast? Today, I will share with you a serum that I had finished using - Phytomer Hydracontinue Hydra-Nourishing Serum (what a mouthful!)

Phytomer Hydracontinue Hydra-Nourishing Serum which I purchased from SkincareRX has been my constant companion for the past 3 months. It has been a great help to my dehydrated skin. Yes, you read it right. Oily skin can be dehydrated too. Read on to know more about the product.

Product Description

This non-oily serum with its velvety texture provides instant comfort to dry and dehydrated skin. Its 100% marine ingredient, Pheohydrane, restores ideal moisture levels for supple, soft skin with increased volume and density. Skin is completely moisturized and nourished.

Direction for use

Apply serum morning and evening. Use on its own or under your regular skincare cream all year long or as an intensive treatment (change of seasons, extreme climates, fatigue etc)

Ingredients (only non chemical names are highlighted)

Water, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Corn oil, Soybean oil, shea butter extract,sunflower seed oil, parfum, xanthan gum, several types of parabens, sea water, Delesseria Sanguinea extract, chlorella vulgaris extract, salicornia herbacea extract, synthetic colorings

 

My Review

Like 

1. Phytomer Hydracontinue Hydra-Nourishing Serum is true to its name. The moment I apply this serum on my skin, I can feel the intense moisture on my skin. I only use 2 pumps for my whole face and neck
2. It has a very nice and calming smell.
3. The packaging is good as it is easy to use. The pump is sturdy and delivers accurate amount 
4. I apply this serum under my moisturizer during day and night. The next morning, my skin feels soft and hydrated 
5. Made in France (I am fascinated by anything from France including the French Manicure)

Dislike

-    Not available locally 
-    contains parabens, dimethicone, synthetic colorings and parfum (some people with very sensitive skin will have negative reactions to these ingredients)

Tips for dehydrated skin

1.       Ensure you drink enough water

2.       Apply hydrating mask at least 2 times a week. I use Origins Mega Mushroom Mask.

Product Review: Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Essence EX

Happy New Year 2012 to all my lovely friends! hope you had a wonderful start to the year.

I want to start the new year by introducing the Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Moist Essence EX which I have finished using a month ago. This product is made in China but I am not too worried as it is made under the license of the Mentholatum Co. 

I purchased this hydrating serum when I felt that my skin needs some extra hydration. The common misconception is that when you have oily skin, your skin will not be not dehydrated.

Product Description

1. Provides deep hydration with a high concentration of Super Hyaluronic Acid

2. Free of fragrances, mineral oil, alcohol and colorant

3. Skin appears visibly smooth and luminous

Some Ingredients that caught my attention:

Limnanthes Alba Seed Oil, Squalene, Glycerin

The pump design is not good as it spills after several usage

The texture is smooth

What I like

1. smooth texture

2. Hydrates my skin well ( I use this serum after toner followed by Moisturiser and sunblock - during day time, For night, I use this serum after toner, followed by moisturiser and top up with Clinique Mositure Surge)

3. Reasonable price - about RM60 (30ml)

4. No color/fragrance

What I dislike

1. This product contains Methylparaben which is not so good for the skin. Most of the non-organic products contain paraben in the ingredients to preserve the product (including expensive counter brands).

2. The pump design is not good. It spills and can be very messy.

Product Review: Clinique Repairwear Laser Focus Wrinkle and UV Damage Corrector

Hope you had a wonderful Christmas yesterday. I had a gastronomical feast yesterday at the Pearl of Orient i.e. Penang Island. But that will be for another post.


I had been wanting to share with you another serum that I like but had been procrastinating a lot. Since it is a holiday today, I have decided to do a review.


I bought the Clinique Laser Focus serum after reading a review by another blogger and hearing good testimonies by Juli, a blogger friend. I have finished using the bottle and wanted to repurchase this but delayed my repurchase due to too many unopened serums that I still have in my beauty shelf. However, I will definitely repurchase some time next year.

What I like
1. The serum has a smooth texture and spreads easily. It absorbs easily too. The texture is quite similar to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair (ANR) but it does more work than ANR.
2. It has no fragrance and no color and not oily at all
3. I like Clinique Laser Focus better than ANR because it can be applied at the eye area. Most serum cannot be used at the eye area.
4. Fine lines around my eyes appear less visible
5. The pump dispenser allows you to get accurate amount of product
6. It hydrates my skin well and my complexion looks clearer


Although this serum has not erased all my fine lines, I believe that consistent use will reduce the appearance of new lines.


What I Dislike
None at the moment


The Clinique Laser Focus retails at RM200 for 30ml. It is much cheaper in Singapore Airport.
